Our Story

Matt Reck and Michael Nicholas have known each other since age 2; great friends from an early age and always dreaming up the next BIG idea. Insert Allison (Matt’s girlfriend and future wife) at age 15. She has acted as our sounding board and the realist in the group, “crushing our dreams” (with good reason), from day 1 😊.

Over the years, we have had numerous conversations and brainstormed many ideas, from Boat Smoothie Stands on Cass Lake, MN to Snow Blow and Mow, an Uber like service for mowing grass and blowing snow. It wasn’t until the bar napkin where we drew up Minneschlagen that we decided to take action and move forward. That day we felt we struck the perfect balance of a great idea for a product and the right personalities and resources to get it done. We knew we had something when even Allison was on board!

Our hope for you is to enjoy Minneschlagen while at a bonfire or on a boat ride and even over some beers if you choose. Or perhaps at your kitchen table, coffee table or the floor of your home. We have had a blast brainstorming and building out Minneschlagen. We hope that this product brings you and yours closer together and who knows while playing, an idea could emerge that you act on.
